I've only owned the car for 1 yr. I've replace and flushed various systems prior to this. One being the power steering system being flushed. Not sure why I was told to reflush system. The prior shop I used is one of the best. So, I know it was done. Also, radiator fluid was low. Mechanic told me it wasn't. No buggy. Just thought you should know. Service provided was great.
Response from Ken's Muffler & Brake - Hello Krystal, Thank you for your feed back. I looked into the services we recommended. It seems you power steering pump is leaking and based on the condition of the fluid we would recommend a flush at the same time. I have not doubt that the other shop flushed your system last year and more than likely they did remove ALL the fluid with a cleaner. Sometimes there is residue left behind which can have an adverse effect on the new fluid. Flushes are recommended every 2 years and it would be a good idea to protect your investment to re-flush when the pump is replaced. If not at that time then sometime within the next 12 months. I will be speaking with the Technician about your radiator fluid. Our inspection showed that it was checked by there was not mention of it being low or that it was a concern so I'm still looking into it. Thanks again and thank you for giving us the opportunity to service you BMW
